Vietnam~! Ho Chi Minh!

Road in Ho Chi Minh City

Both Ming and Hue did not have school this day and i went to visit her at the fashion shop she works at. *I received news that she was promoted to the manager of another branch shop! Congrats! Went to take a walk around town and to some pagodas. Road side fruit vendors

Ming went back to work in the afternoon and i am met up with Hue(Ming's sister). I know i am a lucky guy :D

Hue the future fashion designer shopping for BUTTONS!
Pagodas in Cholon, HCMC's Chinatown
Flatten grilled banana, taste pretty unique
I sneaked into Hue into her university and meet some of her friends in one of her class

Since my cash was running low, i needed to withdraw money from the bank. Fortunately there is a citibank atm in the city which i did not have to pay administration charge. I later found out that they compensate it by offering pretty sucky exchange rate. Not that i had much choice either. I was an instant Millionaire! Delicious Bun Bo Hue. If you ask me, Pho should not be the iconic food in Vietnam, Bun should be!

It is not until i retreated back to my room that i realised while withdrawing money, i had forgotten to take back my card!! In the end, i couldnt get a good night rest. Fortunately for me, i managed to retrieve it back from the office the next day. Phew!Saigon has a pretty extensive bus network. No need for Xe Om, you can get everywhere with buses
Head to any book store and purchase a bus guide for just 8000VND.
I used it to get to Giac Lam Pagoda
Colourful place worth visiting
7 Stories Pagoda
Door Guardians

A few months down the road, i needed to get my civilization fix. I headed to a familiar shopping mall to catch a movie "Red Cliff 2". It was so good! not to mention cheaper than singapore.
If you ever need your movie fix, head here to parkson shopping mall
Vietnamese Fine dining!
Yum Yum!
A good treat for myself!
